fbWelcome to the PRAA

The PRAA was formed in January 2009.
Why?

To attract businesses to locate on the airport!
To attract more pilots and planes!
Bring more tourism and events to Paso Robles!
Make the airport a vibrant center for General Aviation with student pilots, airplane builders, vintage aircraft and more!
Demonstrate the value of the airport to the community & local economy!

  • AOPA Regional Fly-In - GOOD NEWS

Each year, AOPA (Aircraft Owner & Pilot Association), 400,000 members, brings a
National fly-in to various regions around the USA.  This year, the field has been
narrowed to Paso Robles & Camarillo.

More than 500 airplanes, 1000 cars, and 3000 attendees plan to come.

The PRAA is leading this effort in concert with City Council.  We plan to invite
the Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Association, and the Paso Wine
Alliance to join our efforts to win this for Paso Robles.

What a great exposure and economic win this would be for our City.

    Airport Appreciation Day

Airport Appreciation Day for 2016 has been set for Saturday, September 24 from
0am to 2pm.  Thereafter, Airport Appreciation Day will take place on each Satruday before the Memorial
Day Weekend Holiday.  We plan to have Food, Music, Free Young Eagle Flights for Kids
and Static Airplane Exhibits on the ramp.

    New City Manager

We welcome Mr. Tom Frutchey as Paso Robles new City Manager.  We had a
chance to meet with Mr. Frutchey and he is engaging and hands-on.  We are
encouraged by his background which is balanced between Public and Private sector.
